Crude production has resumed at Iran’s Soroush and Nowruz oil fields, although the two offshore fields “aren’t running at their plateau of 130,000 barrels-a-day,” an Iranian oil official told Dow Jones Newswires Monday….
Earlier Monday, tanker trackers Petrologistics revised down its estimate for crude supplied by Iran in September to 3.6 million b/d from its earlier forecast of 3.85 million b/d.
It said the lower figure was partly due to the two fields being shut in and also because Iran is putting a lot of its heavier grades of crude oil into storage due to a lack of buying interest.
