Smart energy-saving windows to wink at ind.

A plan for mass production of the smart windows for conserving energy is under study at Polymer Engineering Faculty of Amirkabir University, director of the plan Mohseni said, MNA reported.

The idea, being part of his doctoral thesis during his study abroad, could offer up to 40% saving in energy once implemented, he stated, adding that the glass part of this window is connected to building’s electrical system via built-in sensors, turning the color of the glass by creating and controlling dynamic energy inherent in photoelectrochromic structure of the window.
