(Bloomberg) — Irish police charged seven men after a protest late yesterday against a Royal Dutch Shell Plc gas pipeline in western Ireland.
The men were charged with public order offences, criminal damage and possession of offensive weapons, police said today. Dublin-based broadcaster RTE reported that around 150 people took part in the demonstration at the site where the pipeline comes ashore and that some people tried to pull down fencing.
