Shell deal with Russia looks likely

Russian energy giant Gazprom is set to get the go-ahead for two huge oil and gas projects off Sakhalin Island in the Russian Pacific.

The move would set the ball rolling for Shell to firm up details of its potential involvement in developing the deep-water fields.
