Shell boss admits job on line

The chief executive of Royal Dutch/Shell, Jeroen van der Veer, has admitted his “head is on the block” unless the Anglo-Dutch oil giant can sort out its energy reserves accounting problem, the Financial Times reported.

Van der Veer said he would “only sleep well” after Shell had made sure it was fully compliant with reserves regulations, the newspaper added.
