DoST assures alternative fuels are ready

The Department of Energy (DoE) and the oil industry yesterday agreed to work closely together to ensure continuous and adequate supply of petroleum products, and prevent unscrupulous parties from taking advantage of the unabated oil price increases in the world market.

…To allay the fears of the people of an energy crisis, experts of the Department of Science and Technology’s Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development (PCIERD – DoST) yesterday assured the public that the country is already “prepared to face any eventuality” on the use of alternative fuels since their technical aspects had already been taken care of by the agency.
