The opposition
threatens to reduce the U.A.E.’s ability to meet demand for
power, curtailing economic growth.
“Gas from the Dolphin pipeline will be a critical lifeline
for the United Arab Emirates and growth in the southern Gulf,”
Colin Lothian, senior Middle East analyst at Wood Mackenzie Ltd.,
an Edinburgh-based energy consulting company, said in a phone
interview from Paris.
