Russian Crude Oil Output and Exports Rise in June as Prices Reach a Record

Russia, the world’s second-biggest energy supplier, raised average daily oil production to a record in June and increased crude exports by 6.2 percent, compared with the same month of 2005.

Russia, the world’s biggest oil exporter after Saudi Arabia, increased production last month to 9.69 million barrels a day of oil and gas condensate, equal to 39.7 million metric tons of crude oil, according to CDU TEK, the Energy Ministry’s dispatch center. That’s up 2.8 percent from 9.43 million barrels a day in June, 2005. Russia’s previous post-Soviet output record was 9.65 million barrels a day in December.
