The signing of Russia-Ukraine deal on supplies of Russian natural gas has been postponed again pending further study, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuri Yekhanurov said on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
As MosNews has reported on several occasions Russia and Ukraine are engaged in a bitter dispute after natural gas monopoly Gazprom decided to increase the price of Russian gas exported to Ukraine by almost five times, from $50 per 1,000 cubic meters to $230.
Gazprom briefly cut supplies to Ukraine in the New Year during a tense contract dispute, affecting shipments to anxious customers throughout Europe.
