It has been learnt that for the first time Russia for the first time will exhibit alternative energy projects including Hydrogen at the Hanover Fair, the famous industrial fair in Germany. It has been stated, that Mr. Boris Kuzyk, the Head of the National Innovation Company New Energy Projects announced about the participation all by himself.
The National Innovation Company New Energy Projects (NIC NEP) is renowned in the international arena as an investment and operating company that was created to implement the Investment Program “Hydrogen power and fuel cells”. It has come to knowledge, that this program was initiated by OAO (open joint-stock company) Norilsk Nickel MMC and the Russian Academy of Sciences in the fall 2003.
The results of the first stage of cooperation between science and business have shown the necessity for creating a universal integrator capable of effectively operating various kinds of activities for development, production, commercialization and sales of competitive products based on hydrogen technologies both domestically and internationally. The national innovation company New Energy Projects, which was established in the spring of 2005, obtained the role of being such an overall integrator.
The traditional industrial fair in Hanover, Germany, will be held from April 16 to 20 for companies representing different economic sectors of varied countries. In addition, the World Energy Dialogue scheduled to be held during the fair, will be a forum for threadbare discussions. The subject matter of the discussion is the future of the global generating industry, to be participated by foremost and acclaimed politicians, scientists, businessmen, economists and others from all walks of life.
While speaking to the newsmen Mr. Boris Kuzyk said, “As of now, we have invested nearly $400 million [in the development of alternative power generation]. We plan to invest $500 million more to reach the stage of the production of environmentally safe power units. After that, we will take our calculations to the government.”
