Russia, Greece and Bulgaria agreed yesterday to end years of disputes and launch a long-delayed trans-Balkan oil pipeline that could strengthen Moscow’s grip on the energy market in the Mediterranean region.
The deal ends 14 years of disagreements that have held back the project linking the Black Sea to the Aegean, widely seen as pumping cheaper Russian crude to the Mediterranean region.
