RTS starts trading in ruble oil and gold contracts

The Russian Trading System Stock Exchange (RTS) starts trading in contracts for oil and petroleum products on June 8, 2006, the stock exchange said on Monday.

Cash-settled futures and options on Urals oil, diesel oil, aviation oil and black oil will be traded on FORTS (Futures&Options on RTS). Trading in gold contracts will also begin on FORTS on June 8. Contracts with settlement in July, August, September 2006, etc up until June 2007 will start trading simultaneously.
