More motorists zipping away before paying at the pump
FLORIDA – All the Uni-Mart clerk was able to tell State College police was that it was a large sport utility vehicle.
Whoever was driving it filled the vehicle with $64.60 worth of gasoline Thursday evening at the 1381 E. College Ave. convenience store and drove off.
Last week, at the Flying J Truck Stop in Clinton County, the thief was a truck driver who filled his rig with $709.42 worth of diesel fuel and drove away without paying, state police at Lamar said.
And someone in a red, flatbed truck pulled into a Sheetz in Boggs Township last week, pumped $30 worth of gas and took off, said state police at Rockview.
