A self-described “old oil man” offered Colorado State University-Pueblo students some straight talk on the global gasoline industry Thursday night. Dick Stegemeier, 78, a retired chief executive of Unocal, said people searching today’s newspaper headlines for solutions to the world’s growing dependence on oil for gasoline – and, for that matter, natural gas – aren’t going to find them. The reason?
The answers simply don’t exist right now, Stegemeier said in his address, part of the Hasan School of Business distinguished lecturer series. More than 100 students, faculty and community members attended.
