Progress in power sector is one step forward a few steps backward: CII

Disappointed with the development in power sector, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) has termed the situation of the sector as “one step forward and few steps backwards-resulting in zero sum net game with enough being talked and not much being done to demonstrate tangible results on ground.

..India is facing a shortage of fuels such as coal and gas. Almost 2,000 MW power capacity in the country involving investments of Rs 8,000 crore is at cross-roads due to unavailability of gas, it said.
