President hails latest reduction in LPG prices

President Arroyo yesterday hailed the latest reduction in the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) due to the downtrend in global costs, hoping it would give a break to Filipinos reeling from high consumer prices.

The President said she also expects the LPG price rollback, the second this March, to expand the purchasing power of Filipinos, particularly housewives, and help propel economic growth.
