While it is known that world oil supplies are likely to be depleted within decades, efforts to prepare for this vary substantially in each oil-producing nation.
If more nations, both oil-producing and not, don’t take serious measures to prepare for the depletion of oil, future generations will deeply regret this lack of foresight. Preparing for this can both save energy and money now, as well as preventing an economic collapse in the future.
