etrol prices will hit an average of 85p a litre by the end of the month after crude oil traded at new highs yesterday, retailers warned.
The price of petrol rose by 0.8p for a litre of unleaded to an average of 82.2p last week after spiking 2p on the wholesale market. Ray Holloway, the head of the Petrol Retailers’ Association, said pump prices would now hit 85p.
