The global supply chain will be forced to change. It will no longer be possible to pay to ship goods around the world cheaply. We will need to produce goods locally and provide local jobs. We will need to produce energy locally and provide local jobs. I see a pattern here. It you want to reduce unemployment and poverty then we need to look to have locally produced goods in sustainable communities. The question is how fast can we transition to clean, sustainable alternative energy and reduce the impact of high oil prices? Our economic security and national security demand that we ramp up production of alternative fuels.
