I like the quote, don’t argue with a fool because you won’t be able to tell the difference who the fool is….

I spent most of my adult years as a slave to the system. Debt started with my first new car (1965) and ended only when I gave my last car to my daughter (2008). I no longer owe anyone anything. If you have never experienced that in YOUR adult life, you don’t have any idea what you are missing. I do not even have a credit card as a debit card does ALL the same things and I only spend what I have. And, I am happier than I have been since I was a kid.

I am not concerned about interest rates, stocks, retirement funds, unemployment, the cost of healthcare, etc. I deal with life on a day to day basis and find any change to be a challenge, not a problem. Will I die a few years sooner? Maybe, but maybe not. As I see it, when the time comes, I may not even know it happened.

Sorry Tor, no blog, but I can be contacted at jgalt43 at yahoo. I will delete you as spam if you don’t identify yourself…lol. Likewise, I block any hate mail and report it. Jgalt is a joke as I do not subscribe to the hero’s politics totally, only partially and admire Ayn as a great fiction writer, but not her politics or attitude. Denmark seems to be an interesting player in this Euro drama.

The thing that makes me the most sad is we live in a time of almost unlimited knowledge about all the things we are doing to the planet and each other yet we keep doing them. I guess the best tool for anyone would be history books. We just keep doing this to our selves over and over. This time might be the worst!

I also see the constant bashing of one country or empire and wonder if anyone realizes that if every American was wiped of the earth tomorrow we would just be replaced by someone else. Humans have been doing this since the beginning. If you look at America’s history everyone came from somewhere else to escape the very things we are doing to people now. I long for a day when we can all learn to live together and share what we have and respect nature. That will most likely not happen in my lifetime. What I can do is live my life as responsible as possible within the rules that are in place now and hope it will catch on. Thanks for all the great info this site has provided.

Who, this time will be the last, not the worst. There will be no ‘next time’ for humans. We have destroyed the planet that we need to survive. There are no signs that we will not take it all to the extinction level.

Why not put the blame where it belongs? With the war mongering Empire and it’s bankster masters? Why would there be ‘someone else’? Look at all of the world’s ‘hot spots’ and ‘police actions’ and ‘wars’ of the last 68 years and you will find that the US/CIA was the instigators or supporters of the event. EVERY ONE of them. Why? The Military Industrial Complex cannot exist without someone expending materials in war. There are huge profits in war. When you can sell a million dollar missile and make a 50% profit, you want to sell a lot of them, and that requires a war somewhere. Ditto ammunition, MREs, drones, etc.

Yes Bill, flirted with American libertarianism myself since 2000, always read lewrockwell.com, antiwar.com, until today. Always have been attracted to the European variety of libertarianism called personalism (writers Denis Derougemont and others) since my student days in the seventies. Never liked Ayn Rand. Libertarianism is a little too focused on economics, wealth gathering, gold and too individualistic, but at least no imperial tendencies and respect for liberties and freedom of speech. And Ron Paul is a giant.

I have just recently found Max Keiser and his interesting interviews on Peak Oil. Over the past seven years I have spent a great of time trying to understand Peak Oil, conventional oil, and now unconventional oil. I have authored over 40 articles on Peak Oil and 11 of them have been published.

I would like to know how to make contact with Max Keiser – by telephone or e-mail.

    Thanks,
