What he says about ethanol is short sighted. The politics of ethanol are a lot more complex than his over-simplification. Ford is working on laser ignition of ethanol which would make ethanol super efficient. It doesn’t have to be made from GMO corn. His comments are irresponsible. There are technological alternatives to all of this. The problem is the National Security Act of 1947. You can’t imagine
all the technologies which have died on the vine because they vanished down a black hole. We need a congressional investigation of all the classified energy conversion programs!
