Consumers had best take note of soaring oil prices and start to conserve energy or they could come in for nasty surprises further down the road, sector analysts warn.
At around 66-67 dollars a barrel in New York, crude prices are closing in on the present-day equivalent of about 80 dollars that oil prices reached in 1979 following the Islamic revolution in Iran.
