Paladin finds oil at Hummer prospect in North Sea

Paladin Resources, a unit of Canada’s Talisman Energy (TLM.TO: Quote), has found oil at its Hummer prospect in the North Sea, Norwegian energy officials said on Thursday.

“The drilling activity showed indications of hydrocarbons from about 3,145 metres (10,318 feet) below the sea surface in Early Tertiary sandstone,” the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said in a statement.
