OPEC’s president said Monday he is concerned about a supply crunch in the U.S. gasoline market in the foreseeable future.
Edmund Daukoro, who is also Nigeria’s oil minister, said “these problems are going to keep coming. They demonstrate the overall inadequacy of the downstream sector.”
Speaking to Dow Jones Newswires, Daukoro said gasoline supplies could become even tighter in coming weeks as U.S. refiners head towards scheduled maintenance postponed by last year’s hurricanes.
