Tanker bookings for the four weeks to June 11 showed a 500,000 million b/d increase in crude exports from OPEC, but rates are flattening out, tanker tracker Oil Movements said Thursday.
Shipboard exports of oil from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries held steady from last week at 24.42 million b/d, reflecting the end of a supply surge.
“The climb in OPEC production – and sailings – in the second quarter may have peaked out this month,” Oil Movements’ head Roy Mason said.
