ONGC, Petrobras eye Australian blocks – ONGC official

Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd. (ONGC) is in talks with Brazil’s Petrobras to jointly bid for oil and gas blocks in Australia and in India, a senior ONGC official said on Monday.

“We have a few acreages in Brazil and are looking for equity oil abroad,” exploration director D.K. Pande told Reuters.

“We may join hands together and go to Australia,” he said.
