The Next Great Bubble Boom vs. The Coming Economic Collapse
Harry Dent proclaims in his latest book, The Next Great Bubble Boom, that over the next four years we are going to see one of the greatest booms in history.
While predicting economic trends can be a risky business indeed, Dent, author of three previous books in this genre, can claim he predicted such things as the recession of the early ’90s, and the Dow’s rise to 10,000.
In this book, he trains his sights on the near future, specifically the years 2006-2010, and even extends his predictions as far out as the year of 2023. Some predictions are based on pure common sense and extrapolation, while others involve something akin to psychic powers.
He sees the Dow hitting 15,000 by August 2006, then an even bigger boom pushing it as high as 40,000 in 2010, followed by a devastating crash lasting more than a decade. The predictions also include oil slipping back toward $40 a barrel and housing prices flattening into mid-2007.
