At least 300,000 metric tons of fuel oil worth US 250 million dollars are drained out every year from Bangladesh through cross-border smuggling, according to an estimate published here today amid an outcry over oil crisis.
“.. the short supply could well meet the demand of the period,” Mr Rahman was today quoted by a news agency of the country as saying, estimating the quantum funneled out through smuggling.
