AUSTRALIAN consumers can hardly have failed to notice the effects of the runaway oil price.
Every time you fill up the car with petrol, it stares at you from the bowser. And every time you book a flight, the airline, in a bid to recoup some of its soaring fuel costs, will slug you a surcharge of anything up to $60 for each leg of the journey.
