Oil production down

Norwegian oil production in December totaled 2,533,000 barrels per day (bpd) on average, a rise compared to November but part of a clear drop in annual production for 2005.

According to figures from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) December production was better than November’s level of 2,490,000 bpd but that production for 2005 as a whole was down fully 9.3 percent.
