Matthew R. Simmons says the world is blindly and blithely racing toward an energy crisis rooted in false assumptions about plentiful Saudi Arabian oil reserves. Simmons says that provided “disbelief is suspended”, the problem can be dealt with, but not before prices surge to crimp demand.
