DAWSON CREEK, B.C.
There have been six explosions targeting EnCana Corp. gas projects in northeastern B.C. since October last year, when an anonymous letter was sent to the Dawson Creek newspaper, warning EnCana to stop drilling and leave the area, about 600 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
The company is offering up to $1 million cash for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the individual or individuals responsible.
EnCana has called the bombings “a threat to the safety, well-being and peace of mind of our workers, contractors and the people who live in the affected communities.” RCMP described the explosions as “domestic terrorism.”
