.He, who will control oil and gas, will own the world. Maybe this statement sounds too clamourous, but it is generally correct.
A report made by the director of the Centre of Political Studies, says that “in Central Asia, on the Caspian and in Caucasus, the political struggles for economic dividends goes on in several directions, including the transit routes and the control over strategic territory and influence in the states possessing the richest natural resources. Attention to this super-region is paid by the USA, Russia, China, India, Turkey, and the EU. They are interacting in a big political “game” concerning both hydrocarbons and the transcontinental transport corridors.” Uzbekistan, judging from speeches at the energy conference does not have any objections against the interests towards Central Asia on the part of Russia, China, and Turkey (that can become an ally.) But the USA and the EU is a different story. They are perceived differently in Tashkent. Like, the Americans and the Europeans like talking about human rights and criticising everyone and everything, making a show-off of their own democracy. The CIS member states and China have their own vision with regard to this notion.
