Nigeria Ready for Nuclear Energy – Minister

The Minister of Science and Technology, Professor Turner T. Isoun, has expressed government’s commitment to begin utilizing nuclear as a source of energy in the country.

Professor Isoun who spoke at the inauguration of boards of parastatals and the 2005 ministerial press briefing of the ministry, said against the backdrop that black man will not be capable of handling the nuclear energy, the country is working closely with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), to develop nuclear electric power plants to complement its energy demands.
