Nigeria: PHCN alerts on power rationing

The Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) yesterday alerted the nation of an impending mass power rationing, saying its generation capacity had slumped by 50 per cent.

In a statement signed by its Assistant General Manager (Public Affairs), Mrs Efuru Igbo, the company regretted its decision to reduce power generation at two of its major stations due to gas shortages.
