Transport and Power Minister Haroon Yusuf launched the product by NEPC, which is known for innovations and induction of new concepts and products in the past decade and a half.
“It is estimated that there is a gap of 20,000 MW between supply and demand of power in the country. The government has identified energy as the priority and has taken serious efforts to reduce the gap between demand and supply. 40-45 percent of power generated in India is consumed by domestic sector, and the situation may intensify with the increase in population. In order to meet the challenges of the nation, NEPC will contribute 40 percent to the gap,” Yusuf said.
