Murphy Oil Strikes Crude Off Republic of Congo Shire

El Dorado-based Murphy Oil Corporation has announced that one of its drills off the shore of the Republic of Congo struck oil.

A flow test on the Azurite Marine well produced about eight thousand barrels of oil per day from the single zone. Murphy Oil president Claiborne Denning said the flow test confirms an oil discovery made earlier this year.
