MPs question green energy plans

A Commons committee has raised doubts about the government’s plans to promote renewable energy.

In a report published on Thursday, the public accounts committee warned that plans to have 10 per cent of Britain’s electricity generated from renewable sources by 2010 would “come at a price”.
