Natural gas-rich northeastern British Columbia holds more reserves than previously estimated, according to a new in-depth analysis carried out by the B.C. government and National Energy Board.
The study adds about one year’s worth of conventional production at today’s rate, which means companies active in the region and drawing about 0.95 trillion cubic feet of gas annually can continue at that pace for another 37 years.
