BOSTON –The Massachusetts Institute of Technology should invest more in energy research and play a bigger role in developing solutions to the world’s dependence on oil, a council of faculty members recommended in a report Wednesday.
MIT President Susan Hockfield will review the recommendations of the Energy Research Council, which she helped create after being named the Cambridge-based school’s 16th president in August 2004.
