(Reuters) – A dip in output this year at Mexico’s aging Cantarell oil field will be offset by rises elsewhere and will not alter oil monopoly Pemex’s goal of steady overall output for the years ahead, a senior executive said on Thursday.
Pemex’s exploration and production head Carlos Morales said Pemex, a top supplier of oil to the United States, was confident it could maintain overall crude oil output between 3.3 and 3.4 million barrels per day (bpd) in the coming years.
