Mexican oil port reopens after bad weather

MEXICO CITY, Dec 25 (Reuters) – Dos Bocas, one of Mexico’s three main crude oil-exporting ports, reopened early on Tuesday after a two-day closure due to bad weather, the transport ministry said.

A cold front whipped through the Gulf of Mexico over the weekend, closing all three oil ports on Sunday.

Two of the ports, Cayo Arcas and Coatzacoalcos, reopened on Monday.

Mexico is one of the top three suppliers of crude oil to the United States. About 80 percent of the country’s crude exports are shipped from the three ports.
