Kunstler is right about the supply lines. Hopefully we are going to have a nice crash, giving the world second thoughts about the wisdom of excessive globalism.

What we need are large consistent areas that to a high degree are economically autark and as such more resilient. Areas at hand:

Europe (PBM)
North-America
China
Japan
India

Europeans should drive mostly European cars, Americans should drive in Fords, Chrysler’s and what have you.
Chinese, Japan, India likewise.

Problem there for the EUSSR is that the UK doesn’t really care about a trade deal. The uk is going for an ‘Australia’ type of deal. Under wto terms nearly all goods and services will pass without tariffs. Realistically it’s the only way to do a quick deal because if theres no deal by June then there wont be any extension. The EUSSR position has been revealed as weak. They are praying to whatever socialism deity that a leftist government wins in the US and that this government wont favour a trade deal with the uk. Though my belief is that ultimately they will. The EUSSR biggest problem is that they cant abuse either Turkey or Russia anymore. The EUSSR based its foreign policy on the uk acting as Americas hand. Now of course that veil has been lifted and the uk wont be taking another 3million economic migrants. Europe will have to learn to be nice to ALL its neighbours. With Greece facing down thousands of muslims in what will be an inevitable tide of millions, dont be surprised if theres civil war in Europe soon. The Brussels institutions will collapse in eastern Europe, my guess is that in 10 years the EUSSR will be the original core 8-10 members fending off cultural islam and losing as we all will. Moderate Christianity will lose to Islamic Jihad. Socialism attack on Christianity in the name of secularism has blinded them to a more strict interpretation of Old Testament Law.
