Describing the oil world as highly manipulative where prices are rigged and illogical steps taken, Union minister for petroleum Mr Mani Shankar Aiyar felt the answer rests in India looking for oil and gas sources outside the country as well as working towards an Asian Union.
On 25 November oil ministers of China, Korea, Japan and India are scheduled to discuss various possibilities he informed. The minister was hopeful of the Iran pipeline deal and said there was every possibility that by early next year a tripartite agreement between India-Pakistan and Iran would be signed.
