Malaysia is studying alternative means of
generating electricity including the use of refuse, nuclear energy and solar power in anticipation of global oil price spiralling to US$100 per barrel.
Science, Technology and Innovations Minister Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis said the government would identify the best alternatives to replace oil and gas which are now the main fuels used in power generation.
