Making Meaning for the Ending of Our Days

Stephen Jenkinson made keen observations in his decades working with the dying. The author of Die Wise: A Manifesto for Sanity and Soul observed that our high-technology medical system often makes things harder for dying people. When a patient or their family bargains for “More Time” through radiology or chemotherapy or drugs, it “bears no resemblance to the More Time they bargained for.” Thanks to medical intervention, they’re not dying death-free, but living longer with dying. This is a product of our death-phobic culture’s intolerance of the reality of dying. How can we do it differently? See part 2 (forthcoming). Jenkinson is the subject of the documentary film “Griefwalker” (watch trailer). [orphanwisdom.com]

Luckily our terminal global overshoot will likely render such discussions moot in 20-30 years. By then, the living may envy the dead.

ALERT – 2015 SAW AN INCREASED GLOBAL AVERAGE TEMPERATURE RISE OF 0.20C – Alert

It may be to early to call, however our climate appears to be going exponential in relation to temperature increases.

    So yeah…. were fucked.

Seriously though…. 0.20C…. In one year.

And you do release when our civilization finally tumbles, and those beautiful industrial sulfates stop being pumped into the sky, were talking at the least a 1.0C Temp increase.

    Completely fucked.

In 2008 the global elite chose to have the equivalent of radiotherapy to cure their “economic cancer” now we have low interest rates and Q.E. The can has been kicked and now we get to suffer for another 30+ years. (I’m hoping to high hell 0.20C was an anomaly)

I can’t believe what were collectively doing.

    I can’t fucking believe it.

But i see people stuck in the motions every day. Wishing for their life to be ‘better’ ( you quickly release better = more money) yet do nothing to achieve that. Its just SAD.

We must be purged, and i know from the numbers this will happen.

Still look on the bright side

THIS IS THE MOST INTERESTING TIME TO BE ALIVE

WE GET TO WATCH THIS CLUSTERFUCK BLOW, PREPARE FOR IT, LAUGH OUR ASSES OF AND FIND COMFORT IN KNOWING WE WERE FUCKING RIGHT WHEN STARVATION COMES TO OUR NEIGHBOURHOODS.

When law and order (do what we say) breaks down, take your freedom and go and have fun in the chaos. Thats my plan anyhow.

MSM, all we can do is prepare and make it a bit easier for ourselves. There is nothing to be done for the herd of sheeple as a whole. They don’t know what is coming and would deny it if they did know.

The worst effects will be seen and felt in the 1st world. They have the most to lose and the sense of entitlement to unlearn. One study stated that up to 90% of American will die in the first year. All I can ask is, who is going to bury 800,000 bodies EVERY DAY for a year? It is going to be a plague filled world, I think.

But, yes, just sit back and watch the fantastic show. We have been privileged to be here at this historic time. Make the best of it.

    Pass the popcorn.

The reason the 1st world will suffer so much is they won’t starve quickly like the 3rd world.

Bad Climate News Keeps Pouring In

“This is getting ridiculous. Hardly a week goes by where we don’t get more bad news about global warming. Even worse, it’s getting harder and harder to deny that climate models contain significant amounts of optimism bias. More precisely, that bias resides in the minds of those who build the models.

Science is supposed to be self-correcting, and we can observe that process as the years go by, BUT the revisions seem to go in only one direction—things are worse than we thought.”

Welcome back MSN Fanboy. You’ve come a long way since our first ‘conversations’ here way back when. Glad (and sad at the same time) that you’ve finally come to your senses.

    “onlooker, you famous.”

It is possible that there are two onlookers Apnea, but the odds of both of them being so truthfully observant, are extremely remote.

    onlooker?
