LPG shortage on price caps

China’s top economic planner has ordered suppliers not to raise the price of liquefied petroleum gas in the run- up to the Lunar New Year, but price controls are already causing shortages, official media reported Tuesday.

The National Development and Reform Commission sent orders for the freeze to local governments and the country’s two top oil companies, Sinopec and CNPC, the Shanghai Securities News said.
