…The Ministry has also intensified its public awareness campaign on the importance of conserving water and electricity to avoid the recurrence of the energy crisis experienced in Kuwait last summer.
To meet the energy needs of the growing population and offer better services to the public, Al-Mulla confirmed the Ministry is currently upgrading its infrastructure in addition to the ongoing maintenance works on its equipments.
Denying allegations that the Ministry is making huge profits from its water and electricity facilities, Al-Mulla said the government spends billions of Kuwaiti dinars on the fuel for water and electricity generators alone. He also ensured that consumers are billed based on their actual energy consumption.
