JUST scientist invents new energy saving technique

A new technique developed by Dr Hussein Zoubi from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) promises to increase the efficiency of using solar energy by 35-40 per cent.

The new invention, presented to University of Michigan by Zoubi, works to decrease electric consumption in addition to utilising solar energy.

By placing sensors in the glass of a building’s windows, the lighting and cooling of a room can be automatically altered according to the amount of sunlight entering the room, Zoubi said.
