Japan’s retail regular gasoline prices rose to a record high again this week, a research body said on Wednesday, reflecting the rally in global oil prices.
The average pump price of regular gasoline in Japan climbed to 160.1 yen per litre ($5.83 a U.S. gallon) as of Monday, exceeding the previous high of 159.6 yen in the last survey as of May 7, data from the Oil Information Center showed.
The last survey was held after a series of Japan’s Golden Week holidays ended on May 6.
